The Zoning Board of Adjustment is a quasijudicial board which means that the board members act as judges on the matters before them. There are seven regular members and two alternates, all volunteers. The cases that are heard by the Zoning Board are for variances to permit a use or structure where it is prohibited by ordinance, consider requests for relief from setback requirements and decide appeals where an individual feels that a zoning decision or refusal is in error. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 PM.
